page title icon How NOT To Use an Aged Domain: DR 44 “Restaurant” Site [Video Review]

I love using aged domains to get a head start in building out an authority website. However, some website creators take it too far and abuse these domains by building low-quality sites and/or even sell the sites to a buyer that is clueless. This has a negative impact on our industry as a whole.

I recently found such a site that is an AHREFs DR 44 “restaurant” aged domain that was purchased and repurposed. The site peaked at 71,000 organic traffic in AHREFs in March 2021 and then crashed.

Here is a snapshot from AHREFs:

In this video review, I cover the following:

  • Aged domain history analysis using Archives
  • Content analysis of the site
  • AHREFs traffic and backlink analysis
  • What this owner did wrong
  • Site is listed for sale for $169,140 at a large brokerage

Let’s get into it!
